Steve Mulligan "Toy Pictures"

An exhibition of pictures made with a plastic camera, plus selections from Steve's new book "Courthouse Wash".

"During college, one instructor required a portfolio created with a Diana, a toy plastic camera that-back in those days-cost 99 cents. At the time, I was working hard to create sharp, full tonal range prints, and was disdainful of this toy. As time passed, however, the camera wormed into my affections, and I now carry several plastic cameras in my car. There is no finer instrument for capturing those odd, quirky moments that we all witness on occasion. Over the years, I have experimented with several cheap cameras; however, these days a Diana and a Holga provide the options needed for my plastic pictures." - Steve Mulligan
