presents "My
Models and Muses" by Louise Seiler, a
collection of drawings and paintings inspired by Louise's friends and
family.
"Living in a land of often-painted and photographed spires, hoodoos, and mesas, it's a natural departure for me to include human and animal forms. Represented too are the non-leggeds. I thank the very professional, and patient models who free my creativity and allow the joy to exude from the drawings and paintings." says Louise of her work for this exhibition.
Seiler's characteristic colorful style is familiar to visitors to the Overlook Gallery in Moab. As well as her muses, Louise takes inspiration from her surroundings - the wilderness and wild creatures of Utah's Canyon Country. Louise maintains a small ranch with her husband Ken in Spanish Valley, south of Moab, which they share with their dogs, horses, rabbits and chickens. She also makes decorative gourds and has a keen interest in birding.
