Moab Art Works presents "New Paintings and Other Works" by Adele Alsop. Alsop's work has been widely exhibited in New York, Moab, and throughout the US. Her paintings are held in many private and public collections. Adele arrived in Moab in 1972 splitting her year between New York City and Utah. She captures the landscape here to great effect with colorful, aggressive, and often abstract canvases which represent the essence of her carefully chosen locations.

“I work everything out in my creative process – it’s the only way for me,” said Adele Alsop. “Painting allows me to get answers to the questions I have in my life. What I have to say comes through in the non-verbal communication that happens between the viewer and my work.”

“I am delighted to get the opportunity to feature Adele’s paintings and prints in the gallery. Her iconic images have a timeless romantic quality with a hint of unknown dangers beyond,” said Brian Parkin of Moab Art Works. "As a viewer what she shows and what is promised beyond the confines of the canvas intrigue me. I encourage everyone to see the show and respond to the works with their own personal perspective."
