	About Marian Boardley
	Marian Boardley was born in Yorkshire, England and is now a US citizen living in Moab, Utah.  As well as helping to run Moab Art Works with Brian Parkin, Marian develops E6 and B/W film for Moab photographers. She also makes direct color positive (Ilfochrome) photographs with an 8x10 pinhole camera when the light is good (see images left.) "I had two former careers before I became a photo lab technician and gallery owner.  For 9 years I was an analytical chemist working in a variety of research and QA laboratories, including the Phytochemical Lab. at the Department of Botany, University of Reading, England.  I then retrained as a computer programmer in 1986. "I first came to the US as a programmer of financial accounting applications at Oracle Corporation, subsequently becoming a Product Director.  Later I became an independent consultant and held the position of Vice President of Engineering at several internet start-up companies in California, including BuyDirect.com (part of CNET), Riffage (a music site) and eToys.  When the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, I moved to Moab to reinvent myself again!"
